Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We have compiled answers to common questions regarding certification applications, examinations, and membership fees.

1. Do the three certifications (CWM/AWM/SAWM) need to be taken in sequence?

No. The three certifications have no direct relationship in the application and examination procedures. You may choose to apply for any certification based on your personal circumstances and the competency requirements of the certificate.

2. What are the fees for the first examination registration?

First-time applicants must pay a HKD 100 entrance fee to become an ordinary member (waived for App Advanced/Super members). Each registration also requires an examination fee (CWM: HKD 120/module; AWM: HKD 360/module; SAWM: HKD 720/module) and a textbook fee (HKD 82/e-book, 3 books total).

3. How do I maintain my membership and renew my annual fee?

Starting from the second calendar year, you must renew your annual fee to maintain membership. The fee is based on your highest-level certificate (No certificate: HKD 100/year; CWM: HKD 200/year; AWM: HKD 400/year; SAWM: HKD 600/year). The renewal period begins January 1st each year and lasts for two months.

4. Can I retake the exam if I fail?

There is no limit to the number of retakes. If you pass only some modules, the scores for those modules will be reserved for 2 years, and you only need to register for the remaining failed modules next time.

5. Can I receive a physical certificate after passing the exam?

You can download the electronic certificate for free from the member center. To apply for a physical certificate, there is a production and shipping fee of HKD 300.
